PORTLAND, Ore. — A fire started at Westover Dental Clinic around 12:30am on Monday, heavily damaging the building at Northwest 23rd and Glisan.
When crews arrived, the fire had blown through the roof. They initially setup outside for a defensive attack before moving to an offensive attack inside. They tried to get to the fire from the top, extinguishing it using tools and chainsaws. The fire was under control after 45 minutes.
A fire investigator says it looks like the fire started on the balcony where a tent and some clothes were found.
The cause is under investigation. Nobody was hurt.
