Fire Along Springwater Corridor

Portland, Or. –   Fire broke out near a scrap yard along the Springwater Corridor this morning east of SE 82nd Avenue. The area is made  of blackberry bushes and trash. Early reports said some homeless tents were on fire and that shots were fired, but that has not been confirmed.

The nearest fire hydrant is a quarter mile away , so a water tender had to be brought in to fight the fire  The fire sent smoke billowing into the sky.
