Providence Bridge Pedal & Stride
August 14, 2022 @ 6:00 am - 12:30 pm
Sunday morning, Aug. 14, will be the 26th annual celebration of bicycling, Portland and its Willamette River bridges. Providence Bridge Pedal is the highlight of Portland’s summer event calendar, offering the opportunity to bike across the car-free upper decks of both the Marquam and Fremont bridges.
There are ride options for cyclists of all ages and skill levels. You can enjoy a light breakfast at sunrise from the top of the Fremont Bridge before cycling through town on I-405 and then south to the Sellwood Bridge, or bike with your family and friends across six downtown bridges, including the Fremont and Marquam. Young cyclists can join Kids Pedal, a free, 3-mile ride over the Hawthorne and Steel bridges then cross the finish line with all the other cyclists.
Do you prefer walking? Join us for Providence Bridge Stride, a 5-mile walk that crosses the Fremont and Steel bridges.
