The Tradition Continues as the Multnomah Hot Rod Council will present the 61st Annual Portland Roadster Show at Portland Expo Center on March 17th through the 19th, featuring over 400 of the best Hot Rods, Classics, Customs, and Motorcycles in the Country.
The MHRC, a 501c3 non-profit uses the proceeds from each year’s event to support high school and Community College Automotive programs, fund automotive based scholarships, and charities such as their Angels on Wheels Toy Run for Randall Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Cancer Association.
This year’s show will feature appearances by award winning car builder and TV personality Dave Kindig of Bitchin’ Rides, and legendary custom car builder John D’Agostino. Also featured is our annual High School Challenge, which showcases local high school students rides in their own judged competition. Saturday evening will be exciting this year with a concert from Johnny Limbo & the Lugnuts, bringing the hits of the 50’s & 60’s alive. Sunday will feature our Children’s Cancer Association Wagon Event, where they will pick out a customized wagon that will then be personalized by the pinstripe artists participating in our annual Brush Bash. The afternoon will bring our Pedal Car Auction, where you will have the opportunity to bid on pedal cars customized by local high school and community college automotive programs, with all proceeds going back to those participating programs.
