Drone Deliveries!

UPS now has approval for a fleet of drones. the FAA just gave the delivery company the go-ahead, the clearance gives UPS the right to assemble an “unlimited number” of delivery drones. They’re allowed to fly at night and they can deliver packages that weigh more than 55 pounds. Although a UPS spokesman says the technology for heavier deliveries isn’t yet ready yet, crews will be ready when it is.

For now, drone delivery is limited to universities, hospitals, and other campus-like areas, also, a pilot for each drone will have to be on-site for deliveries.

So… I’m not sure how it saves people-power if the pilot has to be there…. maybe it saves on gas?
