Driver Cited After Clipping Bicyclist In Hillsboro

HILLSBORO, Ore. — A person riding a bicycle was hit by a truck at Highway 219 and Scholls Ferry Road on Thursday morning.  The driver who hit them was cited for careless driving.

Investigators say the truck’s mirror clipped the bicyclist around 7:15, throwing the victim to the ground and knocking them unconscious.

The victim was transported by Life Flight to the hospital.  Their injuries are said not to be life-threatening.
