Oregon Supreme Court Stops Measure 114 From Taking Effect

(Salem, OR) — The Oregon Supreme Court is denying a motion from the state Attorney General to allow Measure 114 to take effect while court challenges are underway.

It requires a permit and training to buy a gun, completion of a background check. It also prohibits large capacity magazines.

The law was approved by voters in November.

However, it has been on hold since December because of several legal challenges.
