Deschutes County Releases Name of Deputy Involved in Shooting

BEND, Ore. (AP) – The Deschutes County District Attorney has released the name of the deputy who shot a driver Friday near a shopping mall in Bend.

The Bulletin reports Clint Baltzor remains on paid leave as District Attorney John Hummel continues an investigation.

Baltzor shot Bend resident Adam Gilliam after Gilliam allegedly stole a vehicle from a homeless shelter and led police on a short chase.
