Two Sheriff Deputies Shot Near Hagg Lake

Gaston, Ore. — UPDATE According to the Washington County Sheriff’s office Twitter account, the suspect is in custody.

There is no update on the condition of the two deputies who were shot.

Just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the Washington County Sheriff’s office reported on Twitter they were responding to an officer involved shooting.

We’re responding to an officer-involved shooting. Two deputies have been shot off off SW Scoggins Valley Rd. @LifeFlightNtwrk is responding. Avoid the area. Residents are advised to shelter in place. pic.twitter.com/pyjy3nnt0s

We’ve learned that two deputies have been shot in a shootout with a suspect on Scroggins Valley Road.
