Portland, Oregon – (2nd Update From Trimet) Trains are once again running through the incident area. It will take us some time to get all the trains out of our Ruby Junction facility and dispersed throughout the system. Riders should continue to plan extra time and expect up to 30 minute delays for the time being Check trimet.org/alerts for further updates.

(Update from Trimet:) Update: PGE crews have removed the pole. Our crews were initially concerned that the damage may be extensive to our overhead wire, but they have made repairs and we will be sending an out of service train through to test that out. At this point, all MAX lines are experiencing delays as our operations staff spread out the trains from our Beaverton rail facility throughout the MAX system. For context, about 60 percent of our MAX trains come out of the Ruby Junction Rail Operations Facility in Gresham.

(Trimet)  A non-TriMet related crash into a commercial power pole has damaged the MAX overhead power wire near E 122nd. This is blocking trains that come out of our Gresham rail facility to serve the Blue, Green, Orange and Yellow lines. We are getting trains out of our Beaverton rail facility that will serve all lines but service will be very limited until PGE crews can remove the power pole and our crews can inspect our wire. Riders should expect at least 30 to 60 minute delays on the MAX Blue (between Hillsboro and E 162nd Ave), Green, Orange and Yellow lines. Shuttle buses will run between Gateway Transit Center and E 162nd Ave. We are asking riders to consider using regular bus service or other transportation.
