Covid-19 Keeps Fallen Law Enforcement Ceremony Small

SALEM, Ore–The State of Oregon honored and remembered 189 fallen law enforcement Officers, and the families they left behind during a ceremony Tuesday May 4th at the Oregon public Safety Academy in Salem. Governor Kate Brown was a speaker.
The two officers whose names were added to the memorial wall were Constable Hansford “Harry” Greenfield with the Silverton Police Department and Marshal Zachariah Stroud Harney City (now part of Burns and Harney County).
Attendance was limited because of the Coronavirus. Only famiy and a few guests were invited. The ceremony was closed to the public.
