Portland, Oregon – A Portland couple attacked on a public beach is suing the City of Portland for one million dollars. Andrew and Kelly Corrado came in contact with Jonathan Rance on Poet’s Beach on the Willamette in 2017. Rance was a well-known transient living in a tent nearby.
A couple hours later Rance became agitated and brutally attacked the couple. The lawsuit states that the Portland Police were aware of the danger posed by Rance before the attack and failed to remove him from the beach or arrest him.
