Clackamas County Deputy Makes Alleged Bias Crime Arrest

CLACKAMAS, Ore. – The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy made a bias-crime arrest last weekend after interrupting an assault in progress.

Around 1:30 Sunday afternoon, the deputy saw a woman running from an attacker in the middle of traffic near a bus stop.

It’s believed 27-year-old Raymond Buffalo-Keys repeatedly attacked the woman and was chasing her as she tried to escape.

Buffalo-Keys admitted to the deputy he didn’t know the woman, but was attacking her because of her race.

Buffalo-Keys also had multiple warrants out for his arrest for other crimes.
