PORTLAND, Ore.– Earthquake warning signs on brick and masonry buildings is the issue. The city of Portland says it wants to keep people safe. Building owners don’t want their structures tagged scaring off future tenants and they don’t wish to have their title disparaged. A federal lawsuit was filed December 20, 2018, A restraining order against the city was filed February 15th, 2019 owners received compliance letters in March that weren’t correct. The city REFUSED to correct the notices three different times. Judge John Acosta has ruled the city has violated the restraining . The Federal court will review the case May 14 and May 15.
