Vancouver, WA – The movie theater chain Cinetopia that started in Vancouver has closed all three of its Portland-area locations. It’s unclear if these closures are permanent, but some workers were spotted carrying boxes out of the building on Mill Plain in Vancouver. In Beaverton there was a sign on the door that said closed for renovations and invited everyone to check back today. One moviegoer tells Newspartner KGW it would be sad to see it go. The Columbian reports Cinetopia is in the middle of a legal battle with AMC. A lot of customers are wondering if their gift cards will be honored at the theaters if they close.
