Campsite And Memorial At Normandale Park Growing After Mass Shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. — After the shooting two weeks ago that took a life and wounded five others, a memorial and campsite at Normandale Park in Northeast Portland grows larger.

Neighbors say they’re worried about the camp that started up the day after the shooting.  Graffiti covers a sheltered area inside the park.  Some of it references Brandy “June” Knightly, the woman who died.

Some witnesses say they’ve seen people drop off firewood and food for the campers.  Neighbors are concerned about how large it has gotten.
