Burn Bans Issued In Metro Area, Salem

PORTLAND, Ore. – Due to dry conditions and the wind, the Multnomah County Fire Defense Board Wednesday banned all burning starting immediately.
That includes campfires, yard debris and fire pits.
Barbecuing is allowed, but extreme caution must be used.
Conditions will be reevaluated on Monday.
Clackamas, Washington, Marion, Yamhill, and Polk counties have also all issued burn bans.
