Multnomah County, Ore. — Due to the high temperatures and low humidity along with already dry conditions, a burn ban is in place in Multnomah County.

Multnomah Fire Defense Board Chief Scott Lewis Issuing the outdoor burn ban Tuesday morning for all areas of Multnomah County.

This ban includes camp fires, fire pits, yard debris, agricultural burning and permits issued for open burning until further notice.

Residents can still Barbecue but should used caution and make sure charcoal briquettes and ashes are disposed of properly.

Also smokers should make sure their cigarettes are completely out and put in proper receptacles.
