Boyfriend Loophole Closed

The bill aimed at keeping guns out of the hands of domestic abusers and stalkers was signed into law today. The legislation closes the so-called boyfriend loophole that allowed domestic abusers to hold on to their firearms. Some abusers were able to hold on to their weapons by avoiding court hearings. The original bill did not specify how courts would take away those firearms which created a loophole for abusers.
