SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) – It isn’t clear how it happened, but an Illinois woman recently got a 1993 postcard in the mail – and has tracked down the family it was intended for. Kim Draper told The State Journal-Register in Springfield reports that Masrour Kizibash sent the postcard to his family while he was working overseas in 1993 – before the days of cell phones. But it’s just arriving now. Postal officials say the card could have gotten tied up in Hong Kong or might have gotten stuck in some old machinery. Draper says she will make sure the family gets the postcard – but says there’s no way she will send it through the mail.
