Banks, Ore. – This group of local fire fighters only has seven of these life saving devices.  They’re competing to get more, and you can help, with a quick, free click on your computer. An AED, or Automated External Defibrillator, is that little machine you see at the gym that can shock someone back to life, when their heart stops. Banks Fire District 13 only has seven AED’s in their entire 136 square mile district. Banks Fire District 13’s Mitch Ward tells me they have one at their fire station, and one on seven of their engines. That’s why they are asking you to go to their facebook page and vote for them to win this competition. If they win, they’ll buy 20 more AEDS to put around the community to save lives. It’s free, quick, and easy for you to help.
