8 Year Old Helps Home-bound Seniors

Older people who are home-bound could always use a hot meal or a friendly face, and that’s just increased during COVID.  Meals on Wheels People is just one organization that works to make sure they have enough to eat and  someone to check-in on them.  They’re always in need of volunteers!   8 year old Cooper Hammond of Tigard decided to step-up and help.  He started selling lemonade in his neighborhood in Tigard, then got together with Nossa Coffee and PDXpop to sell coffee and popcorn as a fundraiser.   We caught up with Cooper at one of his coffee stands in Multnomah Village.

For the rest of this month, part of the proceeds form purchases of Nossa Coffee and popcorn from PDXpop will go to Meals on Wheels People.
