Kaiser Nurses In Oregon Set Strike Date

The Oregon Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals says nearly 34-hundred workers plan to strike because of ongoing contract talks.

The Federation says Kaiser’s proposals during those conversations are harmful and would only make staffing issues worse.

They say unless conditions improve workers will go on strike on November 15-th starting at six in the morning.

The Oregon Nurses Association says it supports the move to strike.

Kaiser says they are trying to bring down the cost of medical care, pointing to wages and benefits as half of their operational cost.
