13th Person Dead As Wave Of Shootings Continues In Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland’s wave of deadly violence continues with another homicide.  A man died after being shot near Southeast 124th and Powell just after midnight on Monday morning.

He has been identified as 39-year-old Andre Ethel.

This marks the 13th homicide of the year in the city.  There have been approximately 170 shooting incidents that have wounded 43 people so far.  The spike in violence continues a trend from last year when there were record numbers of murders and shootings.
