West Linn Sting Arrests One

WEST LINN, Ore. – A man was arrested Tuesday after showing up at the West Linn police station to meet with a person he believed to be a 19-year-old woman for sex.

Police posted a phone number on an advertisement on escort web-sites prior to teaching a class on investigating human trafficking. Sixteen people called the number.

One of them agreed to meet with an investigator, who posed as the 19-year-old. Rene Cruz Mesa was given the address to the station. When he arrived he was arrested on prostitution charges and released.
