PORTLAND, Ore.– City commissioner Nick Fish today marked the completion of the all- user restroom challenge. The commissioner says over 1,000 single use restrooms have been converted to all-user. the city switched over 600 restrooms. businesses jumped on the bandwagon. The idea is to make everyone feel included and drop barriers that separate all of us.
Community partners include Elders In Action, SMYRC, Basic Rights Oregon, and Disability Rights Oregon. These restrooms are now accessible to everyone in the community, older adults , parents with young children, people with personal attendants, and transgender people.
