Lincoln County teen found dead

A teenager was found dead in the middle of a road Saturday in Lincoln County. Sheriff's deputies were called to Elk City Road near milepost 6 at about 11 p.m. They said they found William Mullican, 19, dead at the scene. Mullican lived in the small town of Elk City, about 15 miles east of the Oregon coast city of Newport. Sheriff's deputies and a medical examiner are investigating circumstances surrounding Mullican's death, but no details have been released. The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information about Mullican's death to call 541-265-4973.
