Presidential hopefuls Sen. Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton both announced a string of campaign stops they will be making in Oregon over the next few days. On Friday, Obama is holding a town hall meeting in Albany that is planned to begin at 3:30 p.m. The event, which is open to the public, is being held at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center, and the doors open at 1:45 p.m. Although the campaign stop is free and anyone may attend, tickets are required and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. After the town hall meeting, the campaign is moving on to Eugene where Obama will hold a rally. The gates to the rally to be held at the University of Oregon open at 5:45 p.m. with the event beginning at 7:45 p.m. Tickets aren't required for the rally but the campaign encouraged those planning to attend to RSVP online at or.barackobama.com. The campaign asked people to limit personal items and not to bring bags for security reasons. No signs or banners will be allowed into the events. Obama is expected to remain in Oregon on Saturday. No details were given on his plans that day. Sen. Hillary Clinton is expected to hold a health care discussion Friday at Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The healthcare discussion will not be open to the public. Starting Saturday, Clinton is hosting three Women for Hillary Rally and Stroller Parades -- two on Saturday and one on Sunday -- in honor of Mother's Day. The Saturday events will be in Portland and Eugene and will be attended by Ann Lewis, Ellen Malcolm, Alice Palmer, Betty Roberts, Laura Tyson, Erika Alexander and Sophie B. Hawkins. The first event Saturday begins at 10:30 a.m. and will be held at Matt Dishman Community Center, 77 NE Knott St. in Portland. The second event Saturday will feature the same attendees and begins at 4 p.m. at Roosevelt Middle School, 680 E. 24th Ave. in Eugene. The final rally and parade will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Ashland and be attended by Ann Lewis, Alice Palmer, Erika Alexander, Kim Gandy and Dolores Huerta. The specific location has not yet been released. John McCain will be holding a fundraiser Monday. For more information, visit McCain's Web site.
