Upset Listener Crashes Into KXL Building

A driver SLAMMED through the front doors of KXL and sister station Jammin 95.5 FM this afternoon. About 1:00, Leann Wheatley was at the receptionist desk and saw something out of the corner of her eye.

"When I looked up, there was a car directly in front of the glass," she says. "The next thing I knew he was already through it and in the building."�

Wheatley wasn't hurt but the explosion of glass and screeching of tires left her shaken. Cops are looking for a White Toyota, Washington plate 683 RYU.

How do you know it was an upset listener? You don't even know who the person was, how can you assume a motive?

I saw this story on the news. When they said it was Jammin' 95, the first thing I thought was "Wow, I bet it was one of the many people who can't stand that 'Playhouse' rooster sh*t." Saw another news cast on a different channel, sure enough, I was right. Playhouse sucks, people. Trying really hard to be Howard (even with a black female co-host) but failing miserably.

I'm so glad no one inside was hurt. I'll be praying for Leann's peace of mind as well as everyone else who was affected by this. I hope the creep is caught and justice is brought! It's too bad the driver just didn't turn off the radio if they didn't like what they were hearing. KXL is one of my main sources of political news and an invaluable tool for those, like myself, who don't subscribe to leftist ideals. Thank you all for all you do. May the repairs of the building and your nerves be swift.

Well now, seein that KXL is a mouth piece for the far right side of politics including the likes of Lars, Savage and ol Bill-O I'm not surprised this happened, especially in Portland, Oregon. And you know something, it's going happen again, probably not at KXL again as they'll take steps to prevent leftist gone Koo Koo in the head from doing that again, but it will happen somewhere else because people are ON to the far right as being the liers, thieves and killers they truly are inside our government. This November, we're throwing them ALL out and we WILL see real change.

Well maybe the FM side of KXL well learnd from this terrible thing I'm glad no one was hurt. But I think The management of this radio station should really look at the programing of the FM side. It is bad stuff. Our kids don't need this sort of entertainment. For years I use to be a faithful listener of KXL-FM but when they dump that formate for this junk I said to my wife just wait someday they well have trouble and so look what happen. About the only good stations on FM In the Portland area are KMHD,The Classic station and KOPB. What this town needs is a mixed of good music some smooth jazz and maybe a little what KKAD plays. Thank you for letting me speech out

What exactly is a "ticked off leftist?" Andn what exactly does a "ticked off leftist" have to do with a Civil War?! Your posting, P.O. Citizen, is nearly as destructive as driving through the door, but how does anyone know this was a listener? Did the drive admit it? my guess is now, just the radio station trying to make some news out of what was an otherwise stupid driving move.

I love listening to Lars and the Playhouse. It was a loser listener, that the playhouse pissed off in 2003. Get over it already

Agree with Bob. Why is it that the victims are blamed only when they are "far right"? If you don't like Lars, et al., change the station to KBOO or OPB.
