Seahawks Tame Jaguars
Seattle widens their lead over the rest of the NFC West with a 45-17 victory over the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars.
As Arizona, St. Louis, and San Francisco all fell on Sunday the Seahawks did exactly what they were expected to do with the lowly Jaguars.
After a punt on their opening drive, Seattle marched 71-yards downt he field the ensuing possession, culminating in Russell Wilson finding Zach Miller from 1-yard out for the touchdown.
Jacksonville struggled moving the ball in the opening quarter, tallying -9 yards of offense after the first fifteen minutes of game play.
Wilson and the Seahawks find the endzone twice more in the second quarter. The first came on another Miller reception, this one from 4-yards out. The second came when Sidney Rice hauled in the Wilson throw from 11-yards out. A Steven Hauschka FG sandwiched between the two touchdowns gave Seattle the 24-0 lead at halftime.
Wilson would find Rice once more in the third quarter before handing the reins over Tavaris Jackson, who kept the offense humming along, finding Doug Baldwin 25-yards downfield for the score.
Jackson would also run one in himself in the 4th to extend the Seahawks lead to the final 45-17 mark.
Wilson finished the game 14/21 with 202 yards passing and 4 touchdowns.
Marshawn Lynch had 17 carries for 69 yards while being shutout of the endzone.
