Barry "The War Machine" Obama
President Obama has a stack of questions to answer
before Congress lets him make war on Syria.
And that’s the first one…isn't firing cruise missiles at a foreign
country an act of war? And if there’s no
clear and imminent threat to America, how does Obama assert that he has the
power to make war without congress?
That’s in the constitution, which the President has treated like toilet
paper the past four years. Next, how is
it in America’s interest to intervene, even for a moment, in a civil war? Third, which side is the good guys. Assad is clearly a butcher, but he’s fighting
against Al Qaeda backed rebels…in other words, the same kind of folks who
attacked our country more than a decade ago.
And finally…what’s the plan? The
President has already announced he doesn't plan to depose Assad. Doesn't plan to ground his air force. Doesn't aim to destroy the chemical
weapons. Intends it as a warning
shot…with the caveat that he doesn't plan further military action. A warning shot is a deliberate miss…And
members of congress should ask this President…who doesn't think he’s required
to follow the constitution, or the law or congress…if they say no, does this
Nobel Peace Prize winner plan to go to war anyway?
