After a great start to the season in 2012, Oregon State Fullback Tyler Anderson had his season cut short due to a leg injury. He’s back and healthy for the first time in eight months and he’s ready to get back at it in 2013. He joined Chad on Flight 750 Wednesday to talk about his personal goals as well as his team’s goals in 2013.Anderson first talked about what he learned about himself following his injury last season.
“I learned a lot about myself. I learned how to be patient with myself, patient with this recovery system and my rehab. And I learned how to work hard and focus on the injury that took me out for the season."
Anderson also talked about how lucky he is to be able to come back from serious injury as quickly as he has.
“This is a blessing being out here with my teammates, working hard and just knowing that it could go away in a second. It just pushes me that much harder to stay on the field.”
And finally Anderson talked about the player who has impressed him the most thus far in the preseason.
“The person that comes to my mind is Brandon Cooks, our receiver. He’s out here every day with us working hard before practice, after practice, in the off-season…He’s stepped his game up a lot. He’s put on some poundage, but he’s kept his speed.”
Take a listen to the great interview with Anderson and be sure to stay tuned to 750thegame all week long as we preview their Saturday matchup with the Colonels of Eastern Washington.
