Timbers Get Back To Winning Ways
Timbers win their first MLS match in over a month in a physical 2-1 victory over FC Dallas.
All the scoring in this one would come in a span of eight minutes in the first half, and it would be enough for Portland to add an important three points in the Western Conference Standings.
Portland would find the back of the net first, when Ryan Johnson showed off his vertical on an impressive header goal in the 26th minute bringing JELD-WEN to life.
The air would be taken out moments later, when Mauro Diaz had an open look in the 28th minute.
The scoring flurry continued five minutes later when Darlington Nagbe took a Valeri feed and slotted it home in the 33rd minute for the 2-1 lead.

A litany of cards and stoppage would kill any sort of momentum for either team, and Portland would hold on to the 2-1 victory over Dallas.
The Timbers sit third in the Western Conference table with 38 points. Dallas is outside looking in with 33 points, good for 7th in the standings.
Portland takes on the team at the top of the table next, when Real Salt Lake comes to JELD-WEN on Wednesday.
