Corey Feldman's Bald Faced Truth Movement
Former child actor and musician Corey Feldman joined guest host Fletcher Johnson on The Bald Faced Truth Tuesday to talk about the success of his latest single, Ascension Millenium
“I try not to ever limit to any one thing. I think that’s a mistake that a lot of artists have made through the years. I believe that if you have the capability, you should express yourself in any way that you can.”
Feldman began his career at the age of 3, acting in over one hundred commercials by the time he turned 6.
“This is all I know. People often say to me, ‘what if you hit a speed bump and you don’t get work anymore?’ That was never an option for me. I was famous before I even knew my own name.”
In addition to acting, Feldman has been a long-time musician and recording artist.
“The release of my last single and the video for Ascension Millenium
is kind of interesting and overwhelming given the fact that I’ve been doing music for 25 years and didn’t really think anybody noticed. But this last video has skyrocketed, we’ve had about half a million views in the last two weeks.”
Feldman, who as a young child was often confused with Danny Lloyd, the boy made famous in the horror classic “The Shining,” says he finally had the chance to revisit his old Goonies movie sets.
“I love Astoria. I went back last year to play a show with my band Truth Movement
for The Goonies 25th Anniversary. It was my first time back since I was a kid. It was amazing, the place pretty much looks the same. There’s something about Astoria, it’s retained its charm.”
