Michael Dunigan's Summer In Vegas
Former Oregon basketball star Michael Dunigan joined guest host Fletcher Johnson on the Bald Faced Truth Friday afternoon to talk about playing for Miami Heat for the NBA summer league.
Although the NBA summer league can serve as a showcase of a player’s skills, Dunigan says that this is not his primary focus.
“We come out here to showcase our skills but we don’t want to be our own player. Some people worry about their own personal vendettas, but we’re playing as a team.”
Dunigan played for the University of Oregon from 2008 to 2010, when he left to play for the Israeli Basketball Super League.
“It was a tremendous opportunity even though I was very young. I was over there just turning 21, going to places I’d never even heard of. I got to meet new people, see different cultures. Some people my age don’t get to do that.”
Now in Las Vegas for the summer, Dunigan hopes to prove himself to the NBA.
