Man Wanted In December Attack Behind Bars
By Pat Boyle
Jogging gloves and the Oregon State Crime Lab team up to catch a man who is accused of attacking at least one woman in Washington County. The alleged attack happened just two days after Christmas last year. But it wasn't until this month the sheriff's office got a DNA analysis back that led them right to 46 year old Thomas Davis. Here's how it worked. The female jogger who fought off the attack along Farmington Road and SW 209th grabbed the guy's face during the struggle and put her fingers in his mouth at one point.
The gloves were sent to the crime lab for DNA analysis and came back with a match. Davis' DNA was already on file from a scrape with the law a few years earlier. The sheriff's office worries there may be more victims out there who have not stepped forward. If you have any information, they say please pick up the phone and dial them up.
Davis is lodged in the Washington County Jail and is charged with kidnapping, sexual abuse and assault. He is also known to cops for leaving sexually explicit notes on random womens cars at shopping centers in Beaverton, Wilsonville and Sherwood.
