An 86-year-old driver crashed into two young sisters in an Oregon City intersection on Thursday afternoon.
6-year-old Willa Stewart and 10-year-old Hadley were hit at 10th and Main Street. Neighbors are upset because there used to be a flashing red light there. It was removed in favor of stop signs.
"I heard some screaming and yelling and I turned around, I saw the bodies fly around," said Monte Thoen of Milwaukie.
Willa is said to be in good spirits with a broken clavicle, pelvis and several broken ribs. Hadley was treated for a broken arm and is back at home. Their 14-year-old sister just narrowly missed getting hit.
"Real sorry that I did that," Thoen added. "I got some of my own grandkids and I just hate to see little guys, little people like that get hurt."
