Brent Warstler was driving a Dodge Ram Pickup in January when he ran a red light in Old Town. His pickup plowed into a taxi cab then jumped the curb running over two young women. Rebecca Bray died at the scene her friend Brandi Butner had crippling injuries including a pelvic fracture.
In Multnomah County Judge Thomas Ryan's court Warstler entered a plea of NO CONTEST to 19 criminal charges including Manslaughter, Wreckless Driving and Assualt. Judge Ryan accepted his plea and told Warstler he will never be able to drive again. He will remain out of custody but on court supervision until he is sentenced in the Fall.
Warstler could do time for as little as 75 months or as much as 150 months.
