Wyden Vows to Answer Surveillance Questions
Oregon Senator Ron Wyden vows that he will get to the bottom of the widespread monitoring of phone and Internet records.
Senator Wyden has been a big critic of the feds post 9/11 intelligence programs, and the latest news doesn't sit well with him. The Senator told members of the press that the surveillance programs unnecessarily intrudes on the privacy of ordinary Americans. Wyden was tight lipped about several questions, since he cant disclose classified material that he learns behind closed doors as a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Wyden said "If you scoop up Americans' phone records, that can reveal a lot of private information: personal relationships, medical issues, political affiliations, religious affiliations,"
