Clackamas Town Center Shooting Report Released

The Clackamas County Sheriff's office has released a report on the
shooting last December at Clackamas Town Center. Gunmen Jacob Roberts
killed two people and wounded another before taking his own life. 8,000 to 10,000 people were at the mall that afternoon.

and 54-year-old Cindy Yuille, and left 15-year-old Kristina Shevchenko on a long road to
He stole a military-style rifle from a friend that morning and bought over 140 rounds of ammunition and five 30-round magazines. 17 bullets were fired, including the deadly shot to his own head. 13 rounds missed their target.
Investigators say Roberts acted alone. He showed up to the mall in his car and left the windshield wipers running with his ID inside. The first shot was fired within one minute of him entering the Macy's store from the parking lot. Police were there less than 90 seconds later. Roberts was found dead in a hallway 20 minutes after the first 911 call.
"We offer our sincere condolences to the Forsyth, Yuille, and Shevchenko families for the
pain and losses they suffered," said Sheriff Craig Roberts.
"I also thank our many partners in public safety from around the region -- first responders came to the mall with expedience, put themselves willingly into harm's way, and stayed to provide assistance as long as they were needed."
