Woman Arrested for Allegedly Operating On a Cat
A 21-year-old Milwaukie woman has been arrested and charged with aggravated animal abuse for allegedly operating on a dead cat.
The cat was found dead on a makeshift operating table in a home on Southeast Sunnyslope Road. Robert Wurpes with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says the cat's body was strapped down to a table with jumper cables. There was also a bungee cord holding a light, some scissors, a wet sponge, razor, kitchen knife and cigarette butt Wurpes said the cat's body had been tampered with and parts of it were shaved.
Ashley Fawn Guldager was staying in the home and was there when police arrived just after 2:00 pm Monday. The neighbor's 9-year-old cat was reported missing three days before the arrest. The cat actually died from asphyxiation.
