Marquam Bridge Reopens After Rollover
Northbound lanes of the Marquam Bridge reopened around 5:30 this morning almost 15 hours after a semi truck overturned and the huge steel beam it was carrying fell off. The crash caused a car to burst into flames. It made the afternoon commute a nightmare for thousands of drivers. Up to 40 people worked to clean up the mess. ODOT says the bridge suffered some joint damage and a small amount of damage to the deck from the car fire. But ODOT insists the bridge is safe for commuters.
