Russell Okung is Going to NFL Boot Camp
Professional athletes often times find it difficult to transition from playing sports to a life after sports. The NFL
is helping players by instituting programs to help educate and better prepare them for life after football.
One such program is the new NFL Franchising Boot Camp
which is taking place April 26-29, at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Seattle Seahawks
Pro Bowl OT Russell Okung
joined John Canzano on The Bald Faced Truth to talk about last season, the offseason and his participation in the NFL Franchising Boot Camp.
The Seahawks offensive line is a strong point which also features Pro Bowler and former Oregon Ducks standout Max Unger.
"He's a brain, he's extremely smart he's kind of the glue, he makes sure we all stay together," Okung said of Max Unger.
The San Francisco 49ers kept the Seattle Seahawks from reaching the Super Bowl. Okung was asked if this was the Seahawks year.
"Got to give a hats off to what the guys are doing in the front office and upstairs and we want to be able to put the best team out there."
Russell also talks with John about what it's like in the huddle with Russell Wilson as quarterback.
