Jon Lovitz has worked in countless movies and is one of the greatest comedians to ever come out of Saturday Night Live. He joined Chad on Flight 750 Friday to talk about his comedy career.
During his time at SNL, Lovitz became very well-known for his array of a charcters. He talked about one of his most famous characters, Tommy Flanagan the Pathological Liar, and how he came up with the concept with Chad.
“When I was young, I would always joke around and make stuff up that was just so ridiculous and then see if people would believe it because it amused me and so I just ended up turning that into a character once I got to SNL.”
Lovitz also talked about one of the most memorable moments of his life, the day he got to be a guest on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
“That was probably one of the most thrilling things ever in my career, to be on that show with him.”
And Lovitz also talked about his time being a guest host on WWE Raw.
“I had a blast. It was the most professionally run production of anything I’ve ever done. They couldn’t have been nicer to me. I really got to know the wrestlers and saw what they did and I said ‘You know, I had no idea.’ You guys are just like great actors and stuntmen. That’s what they are. They’re nothing like the characters on TV.”
