Washington Man Seen Around the World
A 78-year-old Washington man will forever be remembered by many who watched coverage of the Boston bombings
Bill Iffrig of Lake Stevens was running his third Boston Marathon. He was knocked down near the finish line by one of the two bomb blasts. It was caught on the news and quickly went viral.
Iffrig was just five feet away and says it was "really loud." He was helped to his feet and made it across the finish line with only a scrape on his knee.
He's an avid runner who has raced in many marathons.
