Riley is Ready for Spring Football
Spring football is a time for a program to evaluate the roster and set in motion a plan for Fall. Oregon State Beavers head football coach Mike Riley joined John Canzano on The Bald Faced Truth to talk about the 2013 season and what the new year brings.
The Beavers rebounded last season from a disappointing 2011 season in which the team picked up 3 wins.
"It was a fun year because of the kids I really appreciated them," Riley said of his team last season. "Even the games that we lost I thought that the weeks of preparation all that, they truly embraced the idea of hey lets get ready to play this week."
Spring football gives coaches and programs a little bit of a head start to Fall and allows the coaches to put a plan in place for summer.
"To me Spring practice is a lot about fundamental football, just kind of getting back the basics," Riley said about Spring ball.
Mike Riley spoke with John Canzano about the quarterback situation heading into Spring and also about a few of the games the Beavers lost last season.
