PETA took advantage of Valentine's Day to spread their message that "Vegans make better lovers".  They set-up a bed as part of a lunch hour protest in downtown Portland.  Two vegan activists stripped down to their underwear and made out while holding signs at the corner of SW Broadway and Morrison.

Many people weren't sure what they were seeing at first.  Although, the spectacle turned a few heads and raised some eyebrows.  Many couldn't resist snapping pictures.

The group wants people to know they can do themselves and animals a big favor by going vegan.  PETA is highlighting the health aspects.  They say it spices things up in the bedroom by increasing energy and stamina, and can also reduce risk for heart disease, cancer, stroke, obesity and diabetes.
