A man posing as a fire inspector has been making his way around Portland businesses and ripping people off.

Portland Police say he looks and talks like a real fire inspector.  When he walks in, he asks to see the businesses fire extinguishers; then inspects the tag.

That's when he finds a violation and asks for the business to pay him a fine right away.  He tried this on at least 6 businesses including The Laughing Planet restaurant in the Ecotrust Building and The Lexi Dog Boutique.

The suspect is described as white, about 6' 2" with a heavy build, short salt & pepper hair and heavy East Cost accent.  He may be driving a silver Ford F-250 pickup.
