Former Oregon Symphony conductor James DePriest has died at the age of 77. He passed away at his home in Scottsdale Arizona overnight. DePriest was well known all over the world.
He had more than 50 recordings to his credit. 15 of them were with the Oregon Symphony, an orchestra he believed to be one of the finest around.
