When you think of a pork chop sandwich, you have to think SOUL FOOD! Here's a down home, soulful sandwich that's lip smackin' good!
Ingredients: 1 1/2 inch thick center cut pork chop per
person, 1 sweet onion, 2 tbl. olive oil, Kaiser rolls.
Pork Chop Rub: 2 tbl. sea salt, 1 tbl. black pepper, 1 tbl. lemon
pepper, 1 tbl. raw sugar, 2 tsp. garlic
powder, 2 tsp. onion powder, 2 tsp. paprika, 1/2 tsp. tarragon.
Balsamic Mixture: 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar, 2oz. soy sauce, 2 oz. brown Sugar 2 tsp. black pepper.
Preparation: In a glass bowl, mix up pork chop rub. Lightly coat both sides of each chop with rub. Start grill on high heat. Pre-heat 10-15 minutes. Grill pork chops, approx. 5-8 minutes per side. Turning once.
While grilling chops---in a skillet, add oil, soy
sauce, brown sugar onions and black pepper and saute onions until they become
soft. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Once pork chops are cooked, dress Kaiser rolls with
your favorite mustard or condiment. Add chops, top with onions and enjoy!
